Job summary

Target is hiring an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Technician 1 to maintain and repair automated material handling and facility equipment. You will use preventive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and collaborate with other technicians to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, basic PC skills, and experience with electrical schematics and industrial tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license for state employed.
• Basic PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices.
• Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance and basic electrical/electronic principles.
• Familiar with wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair automated material handling and facility equipment.
• Apply preventive/predictive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns.
• Collaborate with other mechanics and contractors to ensure safety and quality.
• Operate company vehicles for exterior facility tasks and parts procurement.
• Support promotion path to Maintenance Technician 2 with demonstrated proficiency.
