Job summary

Target is seeking an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 (MT2) at our Midlothian, TX facility to support the upkeep of automated material handling equipment and ensure high equipment availability. You will install, maintain, and repair systems across conveyors, robotics, and ASRS, collaborating with a team of technicians and engineers.

You will troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems, assist with PLCs, and help train others while adhering to safety protocols and using PPE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Possesses and maintains a valid drivers license.
• PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices.
• Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
• Industrial Controls and Electronics knowledge.
• Experience with PLC programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot all MHE on site including conveyors, sortation, robotics, or ASRS.
• Maintain motors, sensors, relays, encoders, etc.
• Assist with basic electronics/ PLC troubleshooting.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis with maintenance team and engineers.
• Create and close Work Orders using asset management system with accurate data.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE to maintain a safe workplace.
• Operate Target-owned vehicles for maintenance in facilities and yards.
