Job summary

Target is seeking an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 (MT2) to help install, maintain, and repair automated material handling equipment. You will troubleshoot equipment, support maintenance teams, and ensure high equipment availability across the supply chain facility.

You will work with technicians and engineers to perform Root Cause Analysis, train others, and uphold safety standards while meeting stringent timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Possesses and maintains a valid driver's license for state employment.
• PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices.
• Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols and electrical measuring.
• Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards.
• Experience with robotic operation/maintenance.
• Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical and mechanical aspects of MHE on site.
• Adjust scanners, cameras, field buses, scales and printer applicators.
• Reset, repair, or replace adjustable components and wearing components.
• Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment.
• Operate and troubleshoot motors, sensors, relays and encoders.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with basic electronics/ PLC troubleshooting.
• Conduct maintenance and basic troubleshooting of industrial robots.
