Job summary
Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the physical condition of our community and deliver world-class service to residents. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure timely completion of service requests, with opportunities for growth within the Maintenance Job Family.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED graduate level.
- 4-6 years of maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
- Advanced knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry.
- Solid troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to diagnose problems and recommend repairs.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Has good time management skills.
- Able to effectively communicate with customers.
- Certifications relevant to the region (EPA 608, Boiler Certification, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair) within 9 months.
- Required training for Maintenance Tech I within 9 months; Tech II within 12 months.
Responsibilities
- General maintenance and orderliness of property HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities and lighting systems, including inspections and repairs.
- Ensuring the successful execution of safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Delivering high resident satisfaction through responsive, professional interactions.
- Working a rotating on-call schedule for 24/7 maintenance coverage.
