Job summary

AvalonBay Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Bee Cave, TX to maintain apartment homes and deliver a superior living experience. You will diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance requests, ensuring timely service and rent-ready vacant homes.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of maintenance experience, holds a valid driver's license, and can participate in on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of maintenance experience including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation.
• Strong communication with residents and team members.
• Knowledge of safety policies and SDS.
• Familiarity with PPE and basic painting tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, and related systems.
• Complete service requests and repairs per company standards in a timely manner.
• Ensure vacant apartments are rent-ready promptly and perform turnkey work as needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on units and common areas.
• Assist with interior and exterior painting as required.
• Maintain a safe work environment per AvalonBay policies and report unsafe conditions.
