Job summary

AvalonBay Communities, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Technician II for our Pflugerville, TX community. You will diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and major appliances to keep homes in excellent condition.

This is a full-time on-site role with opportunities to grow within a large residential portfolio. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to service requests promptly, and assist with painting projects while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of maintenance experience including HVAC, electrical and plumbing work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to participate in on‑call rotation and respond to requests.
• Ability to read policies and maintain safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, and related systems.
• Completes service requests and repairs to defined standards promptly.
• Ensures vacant homes are rent‑ready and performs turnkey work as needed.
• Performs preventative maintenance.
• Assists in interior and exterior painting and safety compliance.
• Follows safety policies and uses PPE correctly.
