You will diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances; perform preventative maintenance; and assist with turnover to ensure rent-ready homes. A valid driver's license and on-call rotation are required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of maintenance experience, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• On-call rotation with the team is required.
• Ability to communicate with residents and associates to provide quality service.
• Familiarity with safety policies and proper chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, and related systems.
• Completes service requests and repairs timely according to standards.
• Ensures vacant units are rent-ready with turnkey work when needed.
• Performs preventative maintenance on apartment homes.
• Maintains safety culture by following AvalonBay policies and reporting hazards.
• Performs hot works (braze, solder, weld) within company standards.
