Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is seeking a Facilities Technician II at our Charlotte property. This role handles maintenance requests, preventative tasks, and apartment turnovers while ensuring safety and efficiency of all buildings and equipment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of maintenance experience, HVAC/EPA 608 certification, and a willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call and after-hours emergencies. Travel to properties may be required.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma and 3–5 years of full-time general maintenance experience
• HVAC certification/EPA 608 certification (Core, Type I, II & III)
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or intention to obtain within six months
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Knowledge of key management and security systems
• Knowledge of safety procedures with a safety conscious attitude, punctuality and dependability
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience with Entrata, CMMS, Building Automation and Digital Control System
• Ability and willingness to travel when required
• Job location is at the assigned property; travel may be periodic

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property according to SOPs, OSHA and industry standards
• Perform physically demanding work to maintain the asset and other features to minimize liability
• Oversee operating, monitoring/diagnostics, and preventative testing for major building systems
• Monitor life safety systems (fire pumps, alarms, sprinklers, alarms, detectors, extinguishers, lighting, egress)
• Assist in emergency/disaster preparedness plans
• Maintain key management and security and supervise vendors/contractors as approved
• Coordinate maintenance objectives and daily assignments with the Manager or Supervisor
• Diagnose and perform routine maintenance/repair in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure all service requests are completed
