Job summary

The Scion Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician II in New York. The role focuses on responding to service requests, preventive maintenance, apartment turnovers, and supplies management to ensure safety and functionality of the property.

We expect hands-on expertise with building systems, strong problem solving, and reliability in a fast-paced environment. This is a non-exempt, hourly position offering benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–5 years full-time maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification/EPA 608 certification (Core, Type I, II & III).
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or plan to obtain within six months.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of key management and security systems.
• Safety procedures with a safety-conscious attitude and punctuality.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to access computer programs (Entrata, CMMS, BAS, DCS).
• Willingness to travel when required.
• Ability to stand 8 hours and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in BAS, Entrata and CMMS for timely logging of service requests and completed work.
• Maintain the physical condition of the property per SOPs, OSHA and industry standards.
• Perform physically demanding work to maintain the asset and minimize liability.
• Oversee life-safety system diagnostics and routine testing.
• Coordinate with Vendors and the Facilities Supervisor on maintenance tasks.
• Document work performed, parts used, and follow-up as needed.
• Promote positive resident relations and professional service.
