Job summary

The Scion Group is hiring a Facilities Technician II to support maintenance, preventive tasks, and apartment turnovers. You will work in a fast-paced environment to ensure safety and reliability of building systems and resident services.

Responsibilities include operating BAS, CMMS, and Entrata, performing routine maintenance, and coordinating with supervisors and vendors to complete work efficiently and safely.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma with 3–5 years of full-time general maintenance experience
• HVAC certification/EPA 608 certification (Core, Type I, II & III)
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or plan to obtain within six months
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Knowledge of safety procedures and secure work practices
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to learn Entrata, CMMS, Building Automation System and Digital Control System

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in BAS, Entrata and CMMS for timely logging of service requests and work completed
• Maintain property condition per SOPs, OSHA and industry standards
• Perform physically demanding maintenance to protect assets
• Operate monitoring and diagnostics for major building systems (RTUs, boilers, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, elevators)
• Support life safety testing (fire pumps, alarms, extinguishers, exit lighting)
• Coordinate with vendors and Supervisors on schedules and tasks
• Document work and materials with clear notes and signatures
• Assist in opening/closing procedures and security protocols
• Inspect vacated units and plan necessary repairs
• Routinely inspect common areas and ensure upkeep and safe lighting
