Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Hodges, SC facility.

The role performs diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in line with safety, predictive, and productive maintenance processes. The position requires completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and machines; participates in maintenance stops; records incidents in CMMS; supports on-site technicians and suppliers;

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, mechanical or electrical roles in a heavy industrial environment.
• Associates degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related program.
• Knowledge of electrical systems (110-480VAC, 0-36VDC), PLCs, controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, and gas systems is a plus.
• Foundry experience in Hodges cast iron foundry preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, E-drawing, QAD, and Illuminis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance.
• Analyze and implement improvements from preventive maintenance observations.
• Participate in regularly scheduled maintenance stops.
• Carry out corrective maintenance and report availability after repair.
• Record incidents in CMMS promptly.
• Assist maintenance agents and external companies on-site.
• Locate technical information and contact suppliers as needed.
• Support smooth operation of spare parts storeroom.
