Job summary

Phillips Staffing seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician II for our client in Seneca, SC. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM).

You will read manuals and schematics, maintain CMMS records, and work with the maintenance team to minimize downtime while ensuring safety and reliability of equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical cert/associate preferred.
• 3+ years in industrial or commercial maintenance with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation; strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our client’s team in Seneca, SC on 2nd shift. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment and systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The Maintenance Technician II will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, complete repairs, and work closely with maintenance team members and other departments to minimize downtime. This role is also instrumental in extending equipment life through proactive maintenance and timely repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
• Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before they result in failures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and prioritize repairs based on operational needs.
• Work closely with supervisors, maintenance team members, and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities.
• Follow all applicable safety regulations, company policies, and maintenance procedures.
• Assist with the installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills involving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a maintenance team.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and controls.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and workplace safety practices.
• Basic welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial facility.

Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Pay: $24.04 – $29.85 per hour
