Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech II in Sanford, NC. You will perform preventive and reparative maintenance on production equipment, respond to service requests, and ensure safety and code compliance while supporting weekends and plant shutdowns.

The role requires knowledge of CMMS, blueprint interpretation, and hands-on electrical installation skills, with a focus on reliability and safe operation in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum of cumulative experience performing industrial maintenance in a manufacturing facility or equivalent certification.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and equipment diagrams.
• Safe and effective use of common maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on process/production equipment per CMMS schedule.
• Respond to work orders and provide service and feedback while ensuring codes and standards are met.
• Follow safety guidelines including job hazard analyses and PPE usage.
• Prepare and complete tasks per supervisor procedures.
• Perform reparative maintenance on production equipment and assist with electrical installations.
