Job Summary

Under the direction of the Service Director and Real Estate Manager, the Service Technician II is responsible for performing general maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping services to ensure excellent curb appeal and quality of apartment homes, as well as responding to customer service requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assigned.
• Assist with maintenance of storage area and materials.
• Refurbish and renovate apartments per company standards.
• Walk the property daily to ensure curb appeal and quality.
• Notify RE Manager of safety concerns and participate in safety meetings.
• Be knowledgeable about property-specific issues such as asbestos.
• Assist in snow removal as required.
• Perform other duties as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of all tasks completed.
• Troubleshoot appliances, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Assist with inventory of supplies.

Customer Service

• Complete all service requests according to company standards.
• Be available for weekend work, on-call duties, and after-hours emergency services, 24/7 as scheduled.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CFC Type I & II may be required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• At least 1-2 years of maintenance experience.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to walk grounds and apartments, ascend stairs, lift up to 60 lbs., climb ladders no higher than 10 feet, and perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and pushing.
• Sufficient knowledge to thoroughly assess maintenance needs at a Service Technician II level.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
