Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our team. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a 2-year technical degree preferred, and at least 6 months of relevant experience. Candidates must be 18+, have a valid driver's license, and be able to lift up to 80 lbs. On-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 6 months of experience repairing industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial equipment safely.
• Repair, install and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals and specifications.
• Record meter readings and perform chemical testing for boilers/wastewater.
• Perform routine safety checks and maintenance tasks.
• Utilize CMMS to document work and track parts.
