UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our team. You will repair, maintain, install and troubleshoot industrial equipment with a focus on safe operation and compliance. The role includes boiler/Wastewater testing, log records, and routine safety checks.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 6 months+ repair experience, valid driver’s license, and ability to read blueprints. Overtime and lifting 80 lbs are part of the job in a dynamic facility environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; a two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Experience repairing industrial processing equipment is required (min 6 months).
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; MS Office proficiency.
• Lockout/Tagout experience and safety compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial equipment, systems, and components.
• Troubleshoot equipment using tools, meters, and testing devices.
• Follow blueprints, manuals, and engineering specifications.
• Record results and perform chemical adjustments for boiler/wastewater pre-treatment.
• Perform daily/weekly safety checks and address repair needs.
• Inspect motors, belts, fluids, filters; lubricate machinery as required.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Work overtime as needed and lift up to 80 lbs.
