Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support the Industrial Maintenance for material handling. You will perform preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot simple mechanical power transmission components, and assist with safety compliance.

The role requires basic electrical/PLC familiarity, ability to read drawings, and flexibility for varying shifts. Training provided; opportunities for growth into higher maintenance levels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of FedEx Operations Sortation equipment knowledge or enrolled in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics program will be considered.
• Related military technical or electrical/mechanical experience will be considered.
• Must adhere to safety trainings and follow all safety standards.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and manufacturers manuals.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and shifts when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic preventative and predictive maintenance and repair of material handling systems.
• Diagnose simple mechanical power transmission issues visually or audibly at the component level.
• Adhere to safety standards and attend safety trainings.
• Require supervision for preventative/corrective maintenance tasks.
• Participate in smaller scope projects.
• May work a flexible schedule including all days and shifts.
