Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support Industrial Maintenance for material handling systems, performing preventative and predictive maintenance and repairs across mechanical power transmission, electrical, PLC/controls, welding and fabrication. You will diagnose simple issues and follow prescribed safety standards in a dynamic distribution environment.

Qualifications

Two (2) years experience in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics with competency in at least two specialty skills in mechanical power transmission, electrical, or PLC/controls, with basic welding/fabrication skills required.
Military experience considered as related.
In lieu of experience, associate degree or related certificates may be considered equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provides basic preventative and predictive maintenance and repair of material handling systems.
Diagnoses simple mechanical power transmission issues visually or audibly.
Adheres to safety standards and attends trainings.
May participate in smaller scope projects.
May require flexible schedule including all days and shifts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
