Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support industrial maintenance on material handling systems. The role involves basic preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and learning across mechanical power transmission, electrical, PLC/controls, and welding/fabrication.

You will diagnose simple mechanical power transmission issues, follow safety standards, and assist with projects while adapting to a flexible schedule and varying shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with minimum skill requirements.
• Demonstrated basic mechanical aptitude through background or hobbies in agriculture, automotive or other technical areas.
• Two years of FedEx Operations Sortation equipment knowledge or enrollment in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics program.
• Related military technical experience will be considered.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and PLC/controls knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Effective verbal and written communication within department.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic preventative and predictive maintenance of material handling systems.
• Diagnose simple mechanical power transmission issues.
• Follow safety standards and attend trainings.
• Work with supervision on maintenance tasks.
• Participate in smaller scope projects.
• May work flexible schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
