UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our team. You will repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot industrial equipment, ensuring safe operation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. The role requires reading blueprints, using precision tools, and performing safety checks.

On-the-job training is provided, with occasional overtime. Minimum 6 months of maintenance experience and a high school diploma or GED are required; a 2-year technical degree is

Qualifications

• Must read and understand blueprints/schematics.
• Knowledge of maintenance equipment and basic tools.
• Proven troubleshooting abilities in industrial settings.
• Commitment to safety and experience with Lockout/Tagout.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.
• Able to lift up to 80 lbs and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Use hand/power tools and testing devices.
• Ensure safe operation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Follow blueprints, manuals, and engineering specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems using precise measurements.
• Perform boiler chemical testing and adjust as required.
• Record utility readings and take corrective actions.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety checks on boilers and systems.
