Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Tech I to join our UniFirst community. As a Team Partner in the Maintenance Department, you will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components.

On-the-job training is provided. The role requires reading blueprints and schematics, using hand and power tools, and performing safety and maintenance tasks on boilers, pumps, and conveyors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand/power tools and testing devices.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery and systems.
• Follow blueprints and manuals.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Perform boiler chemical and wastewater testing and adjustments.
• Conduct safety checks and repairs as needed.
• Record utility meter readings and take corrective actions.
• Perform maintenance checks on location/system.
• Inspect and lubricate components per procedures.
• Use CMMS for work orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
