Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician I to join our team. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment in a production environment.

This role offers on-the-job training and a standard Monday–Friday schedule with overtime as needed. As a Team Partner in Maintenance, you will read blueprints and schematics, operate hand and power tools, and use a CMMS to record work orders.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer a two-year technical degree.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Must pass maintenance knowledge assessment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot industrial equipment, systems, and components.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and manuals to perform maintenance.
• Perform boiler chemical testing and wastewater pre-treatment adjustments.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety checks and repairs on boilers as needed.
• Record meter readings and analyze utility data.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Perform routine lubrication, inspection, and parts replacement.
• Work overtime as needed.
