Job summary

Drury Inn & Suites in Meridian, MS is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to keep our property safe and well‑run. You will perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related systems, while ensuring a positive guest and team member experience.

You will train other technicians, maintain records, and collaborate with management on staff scheduling and safety programs. English communication and emergency coverage are required; hotel discounts and a comprehensive benefits package are

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge across multiple systems.
• Ability to train Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, testing, filtration and mechanical operations.
• Experience developing and monitoring safety programs and regulations.
• Building maintenance including electrical and plumbing basics.
• Proficient written and spoken English for directions and records.
• Flexibility to respond to emergency repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, smooth-running hotel property and grounds.
• Complete repairs across plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
• Develop and monitor safety and ergonomic programs and compliance.
• Keep detailed records and reports of maintenance activities.
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I staff.
• Collaborate with management to recruit, interview, and schedule department needs.
• Ensure exceptional guest experience with courteous service and a +1 attitude.
