Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Service Technician 1 to prepare vacant apartments and provide quality maintenance for residents and the community. You will perform painting, drywall repairs, plumbing and electrical tasks and handle daily maintenance duties across occupied and vacant units.

The role requires the ability to work independently and manage time, with on-call rotation and occasional travel between properties using a personal vehicle.

Qualifications

• 1+ years maintenance experience required.
• 1+ years of painting and drywall repairs preferred.
• Solid mechanical aptitude required.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, swimming pool maintenance, appliances, building systems, irrigation systems, and HVAC systems.
• EPA certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy: painting, drywall repair, trash out, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Perform basic system repairs on electrical, plumbing, hot water heaters, HVAC systems, appliances, etc.
• Perform detailed carpentry, drywall, interior/exterior painting tasks.
• Perform daily resident service requests with moderate supervision.
• Clean pools, monitor chemical balance, logs as required by city ordinances.
• Perform daily grounds maintenance and snow removal, where applicable.
• Participate in property improvements and preventive maintenance tasks.
