Job summary

StoryPoint West Chester is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair duties across our senior living communities. The role supports day-to-day operations outdoors and indoors, with weekend and holiday shifts as needed and advancement opportunities within a compassionate, service‑driven culture.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED, or technical training, plus 1+ year related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or some college credits from a technical school, or 1+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in apartment maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural and appliance repair; drywall repairs and painting essential.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents; write routine reports and correspondences.
• Ability to apply common sense to instructions and work with several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Operates various types of tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other team members.
• Identifies and reports broken equipment or uncertain conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and safe condition that meets safety regulations.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
• Maintains a positive Customer Service attitude in interactions with staff and residents.
