Job summary

Bozzuto in McLean, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for residents through responsive service, preventive maintenance and on-call readiness. You will troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance issues, prep vacant apartments for move-in, and maintain the safety and cleanliness of the building while delivering outstanding customer service to residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or an education in the trades.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair skills, beginner to intermediate.
• On-call rotation and emergency responsiveness.
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds frequently.
• Reliable transportation and excellent communication.
• Professional appearance and basic computer skills.
• Service mindset and willingness to learn.
• Availability for emergencies at the property, including an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Show care for residents through service ticket resolution and preventive maintenance.
• Resolve HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance issues.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in with turnover repairs.
• Maintain building safety and cleanliness, including snow removal and grounds maintenance.
• Provide residents with outstanding customer service.
• Work weekends or evenings and be on call for after-hours emergencies.
