Job summary

Compass Housing Alliance in Auburn, WA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain property assets across multiple buildings. This unionized role is represented by Local 8 of OPEIU and offers two available schedules: Sunday-Thursday 12pm-8:30pm and Tuesday-Saturday 7am-3:30pm.

You will perform basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting, handle work orders, and assist with unit turns while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance or facilities.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• WA driver’s license required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Familiarity with housing environments and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform responsive repairs and preventative maintenance on building interiors and exteriors.
• Respond to repairs and emergencies with safety and best practices.
• Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and security tasks.
• Maintain work orders, logs, receipts, and invoices.
• Assist with unit turns and office transitions as needed.
• Purchase supplies and track inventory with Facilities team.
