Job summary

Vibrant Community Management is seeking a Maintenance Associate to perform routine maintenance across housing projects, including plumbing, painting, electrical work, and general repairs. The role supports residents and must communicate effectively with staff and tenants.

On-call coverage evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. The position emphasizes safety, professionalism, and a focus on quality upkeep of units and common areas, with attention to cultural sensitivity and Equal Housing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related work experience.
• Ability to work at multiple worksite locations.
• Basic plumbing, painting, and electrical repair knowledge.
• Ability to follow English and/or Spanish instructions and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage work orders efficiently.
• Perform light plumbing, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Assist in custodial tasks and grounds work as needed.
• Identify problems and communicate to Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager.
• Maintain professional relationships with residents and adhere to Equal Housing opportunities.
• Participate in on-call emergency coverage and follow safety protocols.
• Maintain inventories and assist with supplies for maintenance and repairs.
• Complete and maintain preventive maintenance records and CAMS II entries.
• Perform related duties as required.
