Job summary

Greystar is hiring an on-site Maintenance Technician to ensure buildings meet safety and cosmetic standards. You will handle work orders, make-readies, inventory, and general grounds upkeep across a Greystar property.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, state/local compliance, and a valid driver’s license for property operations. Competitive benefits apply to full-time staff.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and performing repairs per safety standards and codes.
• Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing by completing the pre-move-out inspection, creating a punch list, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, and inspecting work.
• Follows procedures for accessing and obtaining materials from the maintenance department by tracking inventory and notifying re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation and paperwork so service requests can be documented and tracked.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by trash pickup, pressure-washing, cleaning, and painting curbs.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools correctly.
• Complies with safety policies by attending safety meetings, completing training, and reporting accidents.
• May inspect work by contractors to verify quality standards.
• Assists in periodic property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate needs to management.
