Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for a Life Science facility in Framingham, MA. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on building systems, focusing on mechanical and electrical components.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will work under supervision, document tasks, and support safety and compliance across operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school acceptable.
• 1–2 years of related maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings and equipment.
• Assists in monitoring building system operations and performance.
• Uses carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, doors+locks.
• Ensures compliance with codes, regulations, and safety policies.
• Performs day-to-day repairs and maintains maintenance records.
• Reviews work orders, estimates materials, and orders supplies.
• Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
• Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings.
• Inspects new installations for code compliance and safety.
• Maintains lighting systems and replaces bulbs/lamps.
• Performs carpentry and locksmith tasks as needed.
• Responds to emergencies and coordinates with others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
