Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a healthcare clinic in Dedham, MA. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on building systems, and support day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires basic mechanical experience, the ability to read work orders, and strong organizational and communication skills. You will work with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and door/lock trades, and respond to emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school background with basic technical experience.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in maintenance tasks.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic computer literacy.
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, systems, equipment and grounds.
• Assist in monitoring building system operations and performance under supervision.
• Use carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall patch, doors & locks in tasks.
• Review work orders, estimate time and materials, and order supplies.
• Assist with installation/modification of building equipment, and with troubleshooting.
• Inspect new installations for code and safety compliance.
• Maintain lighting systems, replace bulbs, and perform locksmith tasks as needed.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and perform other duties as assigned.
