Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle apartment and property maintenance, ensuring high standards of curb appeal and resident service. Responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and preventative maintenance, with on-call emergencies as needed.

Requires a high school diploma and at least one year in property maintenance, with a valid driver's license and solid English communication. Salary includes a $23/hour rate and a 20% housing discount.

Qualifications

• Proven basic maintenance and carpentry skills.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Address apartment and property maintenance duties as directed by supervisor or property manager.
• Perform repairs in electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, grounds maintenance.
• Perform carpentry tasks like wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair.
• Maintain work orders and ensure timely completion to satisfaction of residents.
• Inspect grounds and common areas for safety, cleanliness, and issues needing repair.
• Assist with property emergencies such as snow removal, fires, floods.
