Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Alexan Gateway in Kent, WA. You will address apartment and property maintenance tasks under supervision while delivering top-notch resident service and curb appeal.

Responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, appliance, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance, plus proactive preventative work. A high school diploma and at least one year in property management or related fields are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in property management or related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Must comply with safety requirements.
• Must complete Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Address a broad range of apartment and property maintenance duties under supervision.
• Perform repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC and grounds as needed.
• Carpentry tasks such as wallboard repair, cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, door/lock repair.
• Maintain work orders and ensure timely completion to standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect property grounds and common areas for safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with property emergencies such as snow removal and inclement weather events.
• Communicate maintenance issues to leadership promptly.
• Promote safety and risk management per regulations.
• Participate in emergency on-call/after-hours maintenance rotations.
• Maintain professional demeanor and interactions with residents.
