Job summary

YES Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our community grounds safe, organized, and well-maintained. You will interact with residents, handle service requests, and assist with home refurbishments and deliveries.

The role emphasizes safety, timely workmanship, and teamwork while maintaining equipment and facilities across the community. A valid license and relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires valid in-state driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous home refurbishment/make-ready experience preferred.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or pool operation experience a plus.
• OSHA certifications or trainings a plus.
• Proficiency with industry software and electronic devices/tablets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rental inventory via preventative maintenance, work orders, and refurbishments.
• Keep grounds, common areas, and vacant lots clean and orderly.
• Complete work promptly without compromising safety/quality.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls per on-call schedule.
• Read water meters, identify leaks, and resolve issues.
• Organize maintenance facilities, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with new home delivery and setup; report warranty work.
• Deliver resident notices as requested by management.
• Attend team and safety meetings.
• Uphold OSHA standards and PPE requirements.
• Maintain safe winter conditions via snow removal/de-icing.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles per safety rules.
• Communicate effectively with team, vendors, and residents.
• Work safely around pets/service animals.
• Other duties as assigned.
