Job summary

YES Communities in Sherman, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the community grounds safe, organized, and well-maintained. You will handle preventative maintenance, respond to service requests, and assist with new home delivery/setup while coordinating with residents and management.

The role requires a valid in-state driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in home refurbishment or related trades; OSHA training and industry software proficiency are a

Qualifications

• A valid in-state driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous home refurbishment or make-ready experience preferred.
• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Pool Operation experience are a PLUS.
• OSHA certifications or trainings are a plus.
• Proficiency in industry specific software products including the use of electronic devices/tablets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rental inventory through preventative maintenance, work-orders, and home refurbs.
• Keep grounds, common areas, and vacant lots clean and free of debris.
• Complete work in a timely manner while meeting safety standards.
• Respond to after-hour emergency calls per on-call schedule.
• Read water meters, identify and resolve leaks within the community.
