UMH Properties, Inc. is seeking a Full-time Maintenance person for Sandy Valley Estates. The role focuses on community groundskeeping, maintenance, and repairs to all community-owned homes and lots.

Maintain standards for professionalism, quality, and safety as part of UMH’s team. The position requires a broad range of home repair skills, experience with plumbing and heavy equipment, and the ability to perform duties safely.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in home repairs, general plumbing, grounds maintenance, and operation of heavy equipment.
• Snow plow experience preferred.
• Prior safety training or emphasis on safety practices.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Drive UMH vehicles to inspect common areas.
• Record violations observed during inspections.
• Repair and maintain community-owned homes and lots.
• Mow lawns, weed trimming, remove leaves and debris, plow snow.
• Keep work areas clean and safe; ensure paths and exits are clear.
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment.
• Take daily water readings and inspect pump stations where required.
• Keep logs of all work performed in the community.
• Complete periodic safety trainings and handle hazardous chemicals safely.
• Operate power and hand tools; follow lockout procedures.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers and residents.
• Assist with new home installations as needed.
