Join Our Team as a Maintenance Technician in Garland, TX

Burlington Capital Properties is currently accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician position at our Centerville Pointe community in Garland, TX. We seek a dedicated team member who takes pride in their work and provides friendly, quality service to our residents.

This full-time role requires availability from Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call rotation during evenings and weekends (schedule to be discussed during interviews).

Job Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings, and grounds according to established procedures.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding the status of service requests and make-ready units.
• Prepare vacant units to meet make-ready standards.
• Inspect work performed by outside contractors.
• Ensure exterior maintenance maintains high curb appeal.
• Monitor maintenance expenses within budget.
• Follow all relevant health and safety codes, laws, and standards.
• Inspect and maintain laundry facilities, fitness centers, and common restrooms for proper functioning and cleanliness.
• Participate in resident events as requested.
• Be available for on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• HVAC certification required.
• 1-2 years of maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general building trades.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Positive interaction with residents, staff, vendors, and the public.
