Maintenance Technician

Centerville Pointe - Garland, TX

Burlington Capital Properties is currently reviewing applications for a Maintenance Technician position to serve our Centerville Pointe community. We are seeking a team member who takes pride and ownership in their work and can provide friendly, quality service.

This full-time position requires availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call rotation on evenings and weekends (schedule to be discussed during interviews).

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform all interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings, and grounds according to established procedures.
2. Communicate regularly with the supervisor regarding the status of service requests and make-ready units.
3. Complete vacant units to make-ready status as per procedures.
4. Inspect work performed by outside contractors.
5. Ensure exterior maintenance maintains high curb appeal.
6. Monitor maintenance expenses within budget.
7. Follow all relevant health and safety codes, laws, and standards.
8. Inspect and maintain laundry facilities, fitness centers, and common areas to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
9. Participate in community functions as requested by management.
10. Be available for on-call duties as required.

Experience and Qualifications

1. High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
2. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
3. HVAC certification required.
4. 1-2 years of maintenance or related experience.
5. Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general trades.
6. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
7. Effective communication skills in English.
8. Positive interaction with employees, vendors, and the public.

Must provide basic tools for maintenance tasks. Physical ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, and lift/carry up to 75 pounds. Reliable transportation is required.
