Job Summary:

Perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance work on our converting, printing, and extruding equipment, as well as general repairs to building and grounds. Emphasis on good analytical skills, sourcing outside resources to resolve issues, troubleshooting and repairing electrical/electronic and mechanical problems, replacing faulty components, installing new machines, performing preventive maintenance, and managing parts inventories.

• Perform reactionary maintenance when machines go down.
• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks for equipment, building, and grounds.
• Plan and execute tasks related to special projects on equipment or facilities.
• Manage assigned projects and source products and materials, obtain pricing.
• Maintain parts inventories and replenish as needed.
• Perform tool & die and fixture jobs.
• Complete miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED; experience in machine repair or technical positions preferred.
• Welding/Fabricating skills.
• Machining, lathe, and mill experience.
• Understanding of machine control systems and electrical schematics.

Language Skills:

• Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedures.
• Write routine reports and use office software and CMMS systems.

Mathematical Skills:

• Perform basic arithmetic and calculations involving rate, ratio, and percentage.

Reasoning Ability:

• Solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Interpret instructions in various formats.

Physical Demands:

• Standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, high places, electrical hazards, vibration, loud noise, and operating machinery.
