Job summary

Illinois Ag is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Downers Grove, IL for the 2nd shift. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment to keep operations safe and efficient. Strong adherence to safety, HACCP, GMP, and quality standards is required.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, working with cross-functional teams, and maintaining documentation using SAP and Office tools. Overtime and weekend work may be necessary.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Basic electrical training or equivalent experience for safe electrical troubleshooting.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.
Knowledge and experience using basic hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
Ability to interpret ladder logic and basic control circuits.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair plant production equipment using manuals and schematics.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic control issues.
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and systems.
Maintain boilers, HVAC, refrigeration, and building infrastructure.
Use hand and power tools safely; operate welders, lathes, grinders, and mills.
Document maintenance work orders and communicate activities.
