Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a food ingredient facility in Rock City, Illinois. The role focuses on troubleshooting pumps, motors, valves, and process equipment with a hands-on, independent approach.

You will perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance to improve reliability, minimize downtime, and support safe production operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience maintaining industrial pumps and electric motors.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment problems.
• Maintain and repair pumps, motors, valves, piping, and process equipment.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Inspect motors, bearings, couplings, seals, and other rotating equipment.
• Use electrical meters and diagnostic tools to identify equipment failures.
• Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and blueprints.
• Complete work orders and accurately document maintenance activities in the CMMS.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects.
• Participate in root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures.
• Maintain tools, parts, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
• Follow OSHA, food safety, sanitation, and plant safety procedures.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, and other maintenance team members.
