Job summary

Watershed Foods in Gridley, IL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support all related repairs and upgrades to keep production running safely and efficiently.

You will troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems, rebuild pumps and gear boxes, work with contractors, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining clean records and a strong safety mindset. Be available for on-call shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience with pumps, gear boxes, bearings and conveyors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Watershed Foods sanitation, GMPs, HACCP procedures, Food Safety policies, and Occupational Safety Policies.
• Efficiently troubleshoot, correct, and repair equipment as needed.
• Complete maintenance tasks, including pump/gearbox rebuilds, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical component replacement, piping changes, and small fabrication projects.
• Collaborate with and oversee contractors for project and maintenance tasks.
• Propose process improvements to minimize downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis to eliminate recurring issues.
• Maintain a clean work area and detailed records.
• Be available for call-in situations, including weekends and other shifts.
