Job summary

Hometown Food Company is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on processing, packaging, and facility equipment. You will read electrical and mechanical drawings, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role supports multiple shifts with overtime and weekend requirements, operating in a high-performance production environment. Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus two years of technical training preferred.
• 2-5 years maintenance experience preferred.
• Excellent technical and troubleshooting skills and knowledge of all crafts, including mechanical, electrical and technical.
• Machinist skills, welding, light fabrication and electrical skills are a plus.
• Leadership skills include: Conflict resolution and problem-solving, communication, organization and time management.
• Safety mindset and ability to interact cross-functionally in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance activities in a high-performance environment to maximize production, safety, quality and efficiency.
• Generate and complete work orders; initiate requests when work cannot be performed immediately.
• Communicate with operators, line leaders and the technical leader on maintenance issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections; update programs as needed.
• Participate in training to improve technical skills, teamwork, and communication.
