Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building and grounds meet safety and quality standards. You will diagnose issues, complete work orders, and manage make-ready tasks to prepare apartments for leasing.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work in varying weather and schedules. Onsite duties include maintenance, safety compliance, and documentation.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policies and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections and punch lists.
• Follows procedures to obtain materials and track inventory, and notifies supervision for re-orders.
• Maintains documentation for service requests for proper tracking.
• Supports grounds and common areas by cleaning and minor repairs; assists in cost-control by using parts efficiently.
• Attends safety meetings and ensures inspections by contractors meet quality standards.
