Job summary

JBS USA is seeking an hourly Maintenance Tech for the 1st shift to troubleshoot and repair production line equipment in a fast-paced food processing environment. The role requires strong electrical and mechanical skills and the ability to work in varying conditions.

You will install and maintain electrical systems, operate high voltage equipment, read blueprints, and participate in preventive maintenance programs, with opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Industrial / commercial electrical background with high-speed production line experience.
• Strong mechanical abilities and maintenance skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and install/repair electrical equipment.
• Willingness to work unscheduled hours in emergencies.
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of NEC and electrical standards.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production line equipment.
• Inspect and repair electromechanical and solid-state equipment using meters and tools.
• Ensure equipment is maintained in safe working condition.
• Install electrical and electronic equipment and wiring per NEC.
• Maintain electrical systems for facilities and production equipment.
• Perform high voltage switching and operate generators.
• Read and interpret drawings to install and calibrate equipment.
• Install and maintain drive systems, PLCs, and related controls.
• Establish and maintain scheduled maintenance programs and update drawings.
• Support plant maintenance with other duties as assigned.
