Job summary

JBS USA is seeking an hourly Maintenance Tech for 1st shift in Mason, OH. The role starts at $28-$40 per hour based on experience, with full benefits and career development opportunities.

You will troubleshoot and repair production line equipment, inspect and maintain electromechanical and electrical systems, and install wiring per NEC standards. Candidates should have an industrial electrical background, strong communication skills, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Industrial / commercial electrical background with high-speed production line experience.
• Must have working knowledge of all areas of maintenance and advanced mechanical ability.
• Must have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, layout, install & maintain electrical equipment and troubleshoot controls (mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical).
• Must work in varied temperatures and conditions.
• Good working knowledge of PLCs.
• Must provide required tools at personal expense.
• Able to use a multimeter safely and accurately.
• 3–5 years of experience maintaining production line equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, high-voltage switchgear, protective relaying and safety procedures.
• Willing to work unscheduled hours during emergencies (24/7 when needed).
• Knowledge of computer software/hardware with basic programming is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production line equipment.
• Inspect, maintain, repair and overhaul electromechanical equipment with electrical test tools.
• Provide maintenance services to keep equipment in safe, good repair condition.
• Install electrical and electronic equipment and wiring per NEC and standards.
• Maintain electrical systems for facilities and production equipment.
• Perform high voltage switching and operate generators as needed.
• Identify electrical hazards, safely isolate circuits and prepare apparatus for repair.
• Troubleshoot motor control centers, switchgear, relays and related equipment.
• Read/interpret drawings to install and calibrate electrical systems and PLC controls.
• Install/maintain conduit, wiring, and distribution panels.
