Job summary

Arlington Properties is hiring a Maintenance Service Technician at our Chesapeake, VA location. You will prep vacant apartments, handle work orders, and perform general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC support, and painting.

You’ll keep grounds inviting and assist with preventative maintenance, snow removal, and seasonal tasks. We value hands-on work, pride in service, and reliable team players who can work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC or related trades.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all conditions.
• Excellent communication and professionalism with residents and team members.
• Flexible schedules, including weekends and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prep vacant apartments to market-ready condition.
• Handle work orders with skill, urgency, and a smile.
• Perform general maintenance including light plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC support, and appliance repair.
• Keep grounds and common areas clean and inviting.
• Support preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Pitch in with snow removal, pool upkeep, and seasonal tasks.
• Stay alert and on-call for emergency maintenance needs.
• Work safely, efficiently, and with pride - because your work matters.
