Job summary

YES! Communities in Marion, IA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the community grounds safe, clean, and well-maintained.

You will handle service requests, inspections, and upkeep of community assets, working closely with residents and management to ensure timely, quality workmanship. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, utility reads like water meters, snow removal when needed, and assisting with home deliveries and set-ups.

Qualifications

• A valid in-state driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous home refurbishment or make-ready experience preferred.
• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Pool Operation experience are a PLUS.
• OSHA certifications or completed trainings are a plus.
• Proficiency in industry specific software including electronic devices/tablets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rental inventory through preventative maintenance, work-orders, and home refurbs.
• Keep community grounds, common areas, and vacant lots clean and free of debris and trash.
• Complete all work in a timely manner, without sacrificing quality or safety standards.
• Respond to after-hour emergency calls according to on-call schedule.
• Read water meters, identify, and resolve leaks within the community as applicable.
• Organize maintenance facilities, tools, and equipment.
• Aid in new home delivery and set-up and report warranty/follow-up work to management.
• Deliver resident notices as requested by management.
