Job summary

YES Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Des Moines to keep our community grounds safe, organized, and well-maintained, ensuring timely completion of service requests and inspections.

In this role you will assist with home refurbishments, read water meters, set up new homes, and operate company vehicles while upholding OSHA standards and working closely with residents, vendors, and management.

Qualifications

• In-state driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous home refurbishment or make-ready experience preferred.
• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Pool Operation experience are a PLUS.
• OSHA certifications or trainings are a plus.
• Proficiency with industry software and tablets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and home refurbishments.
• Maintain community grounds and common areas.
• Respond to service requests and safety issues promptly.
• Read water meters and identify leaks.
• Assist with new home delivery setup and report warranty work.
• Operate company vehicles safely and follow safety guidelines.
• Attend safety meetings and uphold OSHA standards.
• Communicate with residents, vendors, and management.
