Job summary

YES Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the community grounds safe, organized, and well stocked. You will interact with residents, handle service requests, and assist with inspections while maintaining assets and equipment.

The role requires a valid in-state driver’s license and preferred experience in home refurbishment. OSHA trainings are a plus; HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and pool operation experience are valued. Health benefits and a team-focused environment are provided.

Qualifications

• A valid in-state driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in home refurbishment or make-ready is preferred.
• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Pool Operation experience are a plus.
• OSHA certifications or trainings are a plus.
• Proficiency with industry software and electronic devices/tablets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rental inventory through preventative maintenance, work orders, and home refurbishments.
• Keep grounds, common areas, and vacant lots clean and free of debris.
• Complete work in a timely manner while upholding safety standards.
• Respond to after-hour emergency calls per on-call schedule.
• Read water meters and identify leaks within the community.
• Organize maintenance facilities, tools, and equipment.
• Aid in new home delivery and setup; report warranty/follow-up work to management.
• Deliver resident notices as requested by management.
• Participate in all required team/safety meetings.
• Uphold OSHA standards and PPE as required by state law.
• Maintain safe winter road conditions through snow removal and de-icing.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles per safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and residents.
• Work safely around pets, service animals, and wildlife.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
